Intro to Robotics

Wednesdays 5 – 6:30 pm

8 Weeks: April 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, June 5, 12

Ages 8 – 14

Welcome to the world of robotics! We’ll explore circuitry, microcontrollers and block code to do physical computing: creating things that move, light up, and use inputs to initiate actions. We’ll create a hand-held game, make things that move, and create our projects from components we have in the lab and also ones we create on our 3D printers. This class is designed for mature elementary students and middle schoolers who want to dive into robotics and learn how to code. We think this is a fun way to learn about how things work and to understand general programming principles. Students will work on individual projects within a collaborative setting. Students will engage the design process to iterate and will debug, building perseverance and a deeper understanding of the nuances of coding.
